The artwork "FRAM" is named after the Norwegian polar ship, which was used by Fridtjof Nansen during the expedition attempt to reach the North Pole in 1893-1896.

At the time, Fram was the strongest wooden vessel ever built.

Fridtjof Nansen was a scientist, explorer, political activist and diplomat. He became a well-known Norwegian internationally.

The artwork illustrates Nansen during his Fram expedition. The color palette reflects the beautiful tones of the polar region.
